The strip under the sill

It is a profile several centimeters high, most often it is approx. 3cm. It is used in the installation of sill , facilitating the execution of works reliably and quickly enough. The window sill must go under the window profile, which is easier to achieve with the use of a batten. What's more, thanks to it, you can avoid the need to cut the foam before installing the sill and to avoid too much foam to fill the space between the window frame and the wall. However, Lithuania under the sill is not only easier to install. Its presence is also of great importance for thermal and acoustic comfort, as well as for durability and resistance to mechanical damage and the influence of external factors of the entire window.
